Critical Action

"Critical Action" Depicts three created characters each with a fighting style reflecting that of the standard characters of the fighting game. CAS, which is short for "Create a Soul" allows us to customize our own character, a feature that adds allot of fun to the Soul Calibur gaming experience. Here, are three characters captured in the moment of performing a 'Critical Finnish move'.

Bottom center, is my own character, the game version of me. ^^ With the 'Soul of Mitsurugi' style. I love the added effects that my choice weapon came with in which he automatically can perform an 'unblockable attack' which can be recognized when the character's arms is embued with flames. This look for me, visually shares the fiery spirit of the Soul Calibur universe, and also gives a sense of 'What's in your soul' type of sentiment that I really wanted to reflect. On the upper right of my character is my sister's character, Yadira, also nicknamed in games as Doza. Her preferred class is of the ninja, also classed as 'Soul of Taki'. Here I wanted to depict her moment of soul powered preparation, as she joined the two blades together, she is certainly prepared to unleash a critical attack. To the left is apparently a cat girl character, named Lyni. She is a fictional character based off of a hybrid  Wolf-cat character I drew for a novel I am currently writing, and had wanted to see her in her human form. Here, she wields Cat Clawed design of the Katar weapon. Her fighting style, 'Soul of Voldo' seems to best reflect her as a cat person. I loved how in mid animation, that her claw just reaches out like she's declaring her mark of target before she unleashes her critical attack.

The background is the after effects of my own character's 'Critical Finish' move, with the fiery blade slash. This helped me to create a cinematic look to the overall concept here, which I do hope many will find this to be epic. Hope everyone enjoys the image as well as the read.
